Butterfly World Isle of WightButterfly World Isle of Wight

Come rain or shine, enjoy a stroll through a tropical environment, filled with some of the worlds most colourful butterflies, tropical plants and fish filled pools

Enjoying watching the butterflies; feeding, flying and if your lucky courtship all in a tropical environment.

Stop by the emerging case to see the latest pupae that have hatched. if your lucky, you may even be able to witness one emerging! Not all of our pupae are brought in. our butterflies breed naturally with their pupae found on host plants, look out for the munched plants !

It is not just butterflies that you will see in the flight area. You will be able to see a variety of tropical plants which feed the butterflies. Lantana is one of the most seen plants in the flight zone. Lantana contains a sweet smelling nectar that feeds a large variety of our butterflies.

Sit back and relax on one of our benches and watch the fish swimming in the various streams and ponds in the flight zone.
